Subject: RE: BS: New Hearme Chat Room From: GutBucketeer Date: 10 Feb 00 - 08:23 PM We will try to use it for Sunday's Anti-Valentine Day Singaround and then ask people how they like it. I will put it in that thread as a blue clicky on Saturday. JAB |

Subject: New Hearme Chat Room From: Jon Freeman Date: 10 Feb 00 - 04:24 PM An number of us have experenced 2 problems with the Mudcat Hearme Room. My lock button program solves the problem of keeping the Talk button help down but still left the problem of timeouts. I have tried accessing the Mudcat Chat from my own html document to try and override the parameters but that has failed. As an interim solution, I have placed the same system that Mudcat is using on my web space but with a different time out parameter. I have allowed 5 minutes before cut off. As the link to is on my web space and the actual server that does the work actually exists on hearme's own site, this should be available all the time (not dependant on my computer running) and theoretically, the performance will be identical to the Mudcat room and I would suggest that this room is used for the sing arounds until such time that Max is able to alter his settings.
