Subject: RE: Tune Add: Sir James Reply From: wysiwyg Date: 13 May 01 - 12:55 PM Yes.... tell ya what. If you can figure out what note would be your opening note, I'll go from there. Be pretty silly to teach the song to any and all Mudcatters in per-pe-f***ing-tuity but then when they meet up witcha it's not in your key, huh? *G* ~S~ |

Subject: RE: Tune Add: Sir James Reply From: wysiwyg Date: 13 May 01 - 03:05 AM Ah, memories! Mmario and I finally got to do this song together (just part of it I think) at the April 2001 N Central PA MudGather. I really should post those chords! Mmario, do you recall what key we finally landed in? ~S~ |

Subject: RE: Tune Add: Sir James Reply From: wysiwyg Date: 12 Feb 00 - 10:06 PM Mmario, Oooohhhh...... If you can get it done quicker some other way, go for it, but this would be fun to try out with our new little PortaStudio and if it turns out I will definitely let you know. We will have to learn it by ear unless you can supply the music. I have no music software so it would need to be snail mail. If so, see me in the pesonal page with an address!! In fact see me there anyway so I can send you the master when it's done. We're only semi-pro's so don't walk on air yet, we're wayyyyy down here on the ground. BTW when I write it takes forever too and then is just there. I thought I was just weird. Now I know you are too. |

Subject: RE: Tune Add: Sir James Reply From: MMario Date: 12 Feb 00 - 07:12 PM praise -I would be delighted (heck, I'd be walking on air)if you could do a sound file and/or a tape or something and get it to me (or mudcat radio which I listen to religiously). Thanks for the compliments. That song took nine months (really!) to write and finally got thrashed out during a solo drive from dallas to upstate NY |

Going to do it fiddle and autoharp, fiddle interval between sung verses amd fiddle drone on verses (girl singer) and autoharp bass booming on verses (boy singer) THANKS for writing and sharing!!!! Melody very haunting, sticks to the ribs (the ones in my heart) |
