Sounds like The Nightingale; there seem to be four versions on the DT. here, here, here, and here,.

A lyric search for "nightingale" doesn't seem to get them all, or I'd have recommended that rather than providing shortcuts!

Malcolm

This song was a few years ago at Merlefest by a group which I think was named "COLTRAIN". They were Scot or Irish and Super good. The song I remember most was called maybe, Nightingale Song. About a boy and girl who meet at walk arm in arm and hear the Nightingale sing.

Any help on the group or song will be most welcome. JIM
