Subject: RE: Help: Can´t understand the lyrics From: Escamillo Date: 23 Apr 00 - 06:09 AM Ok Joe, I´ll try, but I´m afraid the compression to MP3 will make the fidelity still worse. If it works, it will be faster, indeed. Un abrazo - Andrés (singing in front of the Silver River which is not the Mississipi but it´s wider) |

Subject: RE: Help: Can´t understand the lyrics From: Joe Offer Date: 23 Apr 00 - 06:00 AM Darn, I thought I might have a copy of it, Andrés, but I don't. Any chance you can make an MP3 or RealAudio recording of the cut, an then e-mail it? I'd be glad to post it at my Website so everybody could take a listen and try to help. Click on my name below if you'd like to send me e-mail. -Joe Offer- |

Subject: Can´t understand the lyrics From: Escamillo Date: 23 Apr 00 - 04:21 AM There´s a rich, beautiful song originated 1930 of which I do have a record (Paul Robeson). My problem is that I understand 95% of the lyrics and that´s not enough to sing it. (Some people say that neither my voice is enough, but I´m a die hard). Though it is a re-processed CD, the sound is poor. Only an authentic English-speaking person, especially a singer, will get the full meaning of the lyrics. Curiously, you Mudcatters are closer to me than any authentic English-singing person in Buenos Aires. Is there any volunteer to receive the CD, listen to it and write down the lyrics for me ? There has been an old thread on this, but nobody knew it. Thanks for any help - Un abrazo - Andrés Click for related thread |
