Subject: RE: The Woods Music and Dance Camp 2000 From: Little Neophyte Date: 14 May 00 - 03:10 PM I have been telling all my friends that this summer I am going to Banjo Camp! I hope they are going to teach me how to make a boondoggle banjo strap. I guess we will be singing around the campfire a lot. Do you think there will be tofu hotdogs for me to roast on a stick at the fire? Little Neo |

Subject: RE: The Woods Music and Dance Camp 2000 From: catspaw49 Date: 13 May 00 - 10:19 AM Basically, I'm just refreshing this, but the dollars thing makes me think of something. After getting to know Rick here, when we met last summer at Niagra, an odd little thing struck me. We have many similarities and differences too, but basically we grew up in the same time period separated by a few hundred miles and an International Border. Now I know this seems really dumb (only because it is), but when we were buying a few beers toward the end of a great day, we each reached into our pockets and pulled out some money......Rick's Canadian, mine US. I realized that Rick had spent his life considering what he had to be "real" money, and I had spent mine doing the same with the US variant. I'm not making sense here. I just found it interesting to consider that if you said "dollar" to each of us, for all the similarities, two different images would come to mind. Aw, forget it........Must be the drugs. Spaw |

Subject: The Woods Music and Dance Camp 2000 From: Tony Burns Date: 12 May 00 - 07:23 PM If you are looking for something wonderful to do for 5 days this August check out The Woods Music and Dance Camp site. There are still some spots left. Spend 5 days living music with the Woods regulars plus this year's staff: Peggy Seeger, Rick Fines, Mark Haines, Tom Leighton, Christina Smith, Jean Hewson and Eldon Cooper. Ontario is not that far for many Mudcatters and there will be a number of the Toronto Mudquacker contingent in attendance. Remember the prices you see are in Candaian dollars. |
