If you do get there.. be sure to ask anybody working the stage , sound, or kitchen where are "Meg and Dan" If you go( anyone out there) be sure to stroll over to the little building to the left of the Stage.. THE WARM UP ROOM.. this is the place to see the dancers, and hear the musicians.. Two years ago there was a scene that was impossible to discribe.. Richard Wood, J.P. Cormier, and Kenny Chaisson.. Playing one tune after another.. for about 1 hr streight time.. Just seeing who would give up.. Well J.P. and Richard could not keep pace with Kenny who kept it going for another 1/2 hour .. AMAZING Place.. anyone claiming to be a lover of fiddle music HAS TO GO!!!

Just read a thread about Richard Wood of PEI, and it reminded me of a wonderful fiddle festival which is held every year the Third Weekend in July. Richard is there almost every summer as well as Natalie McMaster, Brenda Stubert, J.P. Cormier...to name a few and a wealth of talent within the Chaisson Family whose land hosts the event. J.J. Chaisson is fast approaching 18 years has played since age 3.. and is just amazing.. He and a few of his cousins are members of Celtic Tide a band which you will be hearing from VERY soon they are recording their first CD as I write.. If you are in PEI( and you really should go) be sure to stop at the Rollo Bay Fiddle Grounds.. There is a Celidh every Thursday from June to October.. and big concerts at the site through the summer.. KGH
