Exactly right about where the name comes from - I really enjoy Flanders and Swann. (My 8 year old daughter is just as bad - she's word perfect on 'The Gasman Cometh'. I thought about setting a challenge to see how many people would get the reference. With or without the song, bradypus is sloth - a web search will find some pictures and odd facts for anyone who's interested.

As for being slothful, I could say that time spent on the Mudcat is time spent not doing anything else ...

Jacob - as there isn't a song challenge going at the moment, I decided to take you up ...

I want to get my picture on the BBC

It may be only lower case, it's good enough for me
Just click on the resources page, some sights you're sure to see
I'm there with all the other cats, and that's a cause for glee !

yep.. go to the "quick link" choose "bbc's mudcat resources" and you'll find an email address and info about where to send your photos, and the format to use....

Skarpi may have answered the question you meant to ask, but when I saw the name of this thread, I thought it had something to do with a song about the process of getting the British Broadcasting Corporation to show a particular picture on television.

That sounds like an interesting Song Challenge.
