There was a country chart hit "Near You" maybe 20 years ago (+/- 5 years?). I'm pretty sure it was a duet by George Jones and Tammy Wynette. From what I remember of the lyrics, I believe it's the same song in Mary's link above. If you want to hear a recording of it, this one might be easier to find than the original.

Got a call today from a nice woman whos parents are about to have their 50th anniversary. She recalls that her parents loved the song "Near You" when they were young and courting. That's all she knows is that it was called "Near You" and that it was old. I told her I would do what I can to find the lyrics and music for it, so here is my effort. Anyone?
