Dave is a prolific songwriter (and a good friend) and we've collaborated on about a dozen songs. He's also a great slow pitch softball player and was a mainstay of "The Remnants" for several years. After 10 years in the league I retired after hitting a screaming single to right field AND STILL getting thrown out at first! Dave's still got a few good years left. Hope he's playing ball this summer.

Saturday, July 8th, the Halifax Harbour Folk Society is going to have its monthly pub-night. Featured performer will be Dave Stone. Originally from St. Peters Cape Breton, Dave is a prolific song writer who seems to write with sensitivity on Maritime subjects.

Come out to the Pub Night if you can. It's at the Alderney Café on Alderney Drive, across from the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal. It will start at 8PM going until 10PM. Open Mic spots are available on a first-come basis.
