Subject: 40th and Plum From: GUEST,Marty Kohn mfkohn@aol.com Date: 09 Jul 00 - 11:58 AM I'm looking for the rest of the words to "40th and Plum," a song Wayne Raney used to sing (and may have written). This is what I know of it: Well, I come from the country, And boy I'm telling you We treat our neighbors better Better than you city slickers do A feller passed me on the street And asked me where I'm from I said "Way out in the country At 40th and Plum." He said "Where?...." And I said "40 miles from town, Plum back in the sticks. Out where we raise gentlemen, Even though you call us hicks. Now you may think I'm kidding around But boy we sure have fun. Way out in the country At 40th and Plum." Sure there's another verse... Thanks! |
