JAYSUS, Spaw! Are you gonna be in trouble when Ainé does see those and translates them! Whoo-boy, look out, mama!! **BG**

I kinda figured like moon/birk that the first time was a fluke or something, then wondered if you just strung some consonants and a sprinkle of vowels randomly, but now I find you're for real! Wonderments!! LMAO

FINALLY!!!!!

Now its a pretty well known fact that I'm not one of our Irish/Gaelic linguists like Aine and Mick and many others, but I ran across a great site where you too can create an authentic Irish wish and it cracked me up, so I've been passing them out and NOBODY has bitten yet.......until now. Thank you Moon.

Beware, though. It's terribly addicting. Probably less so if you have a life.

Welcome to the 'Cat Fergie....HearMe is a live voice system on the net and we use it here at the 'Cat for pretty much nightly sin-a-rounds. Please read the TEAL colored thread, the FAQ, at the top of the thread list for other info including Mudcat Radio and other features of the Mudcat Cafe.

If you click on a HearMe thread, there is generally a link to the page and you can load the program from there.

Well, first of all, it's fun and you have the opportunity to hear the talents of other mudcatters and share with them yours.

It's a program you will have to download, when someone puts up the link. In order to participate, you will need a microphone and speakers. If you don't want to participate, you can just listen and can participate in the chat, which goes on at the same time.

It's given us the opportunity to get to know each other in a more personal way and is definitely a "good" thing.

If you have any trouble with the download, etc., put a message in the link thread and you will get lots of help.

Have fun ...

moonchild

Hearme make a range of voice communication programs that work over the internet and details can be found at http://www.hearme.com.

In the Mudcat context, a Hearme is a group of people getting together for a song circle/ session on an agreed Hearme Voice Creator enaled web page. The one we use is hosted by Aine and can be found at http://www.geocities.com/anneuicocaire/hearme.html. The sessions are usually good fun, can start at any time and are normally announced in a thread here.

The basic requirements for joining in a Hearme session are A PC P100 or higher, running a minimum of win 95 and IE4 or netscape equivilant pluls a sound card and modem. If you meet that spec, the best plan is just to visit Aine's page and see what happens. This will involve a small download of a plugin.
