Casper, the Ghost, had a song, "The Ghost's Lament." Someone may have the words or the episode.

According to Brunnings' Folk Song Index, there's a song titled "The Ghost's Lament" (title variant: "Woe's Me") in A Bundle of Ballads by Ruth Manning-Sanders.

You may not get much of a reply from someone who hasn't posted here in a year and a half. Still, if we're dredging up long-dead threads, I'd suggest The Song of the Ghost as a possibility; Stanford-Petrie 580. A.P. Graves set his song The Song of the Ghost (Pastheen Power) to it.

Is this a kid's song? The only "Ghost's Lament" I could find was on a Casper the Friendly Ghost album. (I don't think it's what you want.)

Here are the only lines I have: "You'll see me walk at night upon the mountain, And you'll hear my voice at noon down by the stream...."

Can you give us a line or two? There are lots of songs about ghosts.

This may be from Donegal. I've come across parts of it in Irish novels, but never the complete words. Thanks
