Subject: RE: Ken Ham Info required From: Willie-O Date: 26 Sep 00 - 11:26 AM I've heard him a few times. Ken Hamm plays slide guitar but not necessarily in a blues style. What I hear from him is mostly acoustic fingerpicking/slide, very melodic cheery sounding tunes mostly. Rather refreshing. His website, which wouldn't ya know it, www.kenhamm.com does stress his blues background. Checkm out the concert schedule, there are lots of English dates. He's from Thunder Bay Ontario, the other end of the province from Toronto, but is now located in B.C. Enjoy, mate. Willie-O |

Subject: Ken Ham Info required From: GUEST,Roger the skiffler Date: 22 Sep 00 - 03:43 AM Last night on Paul Jones UK Blues show on the wireless (as I still think of it!) he played a great track by Canadian acoustic bluesman Ken Ham (Hamm?) who he said had won awards in US & Canada. I hadn't heard him before or seen him mentioned here. Any info about him from the blues section of the Mudcat community and the Toronto Chapter in particular? He's about to start touring the UK with dates in Scotland and the North mentioned on the programme, I haven't seen any shows in my neck of the woods mentioned. RtS |
