Subject: You Can't Kill Bluegrass Nohow? From: Mrrzy Date: 24 Oct 00 - 11:48 AM Heard on NPR, of course, but I can't find it there. Not sure what the column was, perhaps Prairie Home Companion, perhaps not. Caught an audio "glimpse" (if you will). The story seemed to be about a redneck playing Bill Monroe on his car radio when he wrecks the car, and there is something about how the radio just keeps playing ("you could still hear Bill Monroe") while the car explodes and then burns "down to the axles" which just goes to show "You can burn your car to a pile of ashes but you can't kill bluegrass nohow" - anyway, I thought it was pretty funny. Anyone got the whole song? |
