Subject: RE: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: MMario Date: 09 Sep 04 - 01:04 PM y'know - I've been unable for several years to play Ren-radio- ever since they went first to a non-static IP address and then to live-365. But I have checked every couple of weeks in the hopes that I could get them again. and now I can. yes! |

Subject: RE: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: Catrin Date: 03 Nov 00 - 09:11 AM Ooooh Thank you Kat! I clicked on the link in your first post and it's playing a beautiful tune I know - slow fiddle (or maybe cello) - its very deep. The tune is 'As I roved out' No problems accessing it either, it took at least five seconds between click and music! mmmmmmmmmmm, dreamy. Cheers, Catrin |

Subject: RE: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: MMario Date: 01 Nov 00 - 03:37 PM yup! that's stuff I din't know about before. But I can tell you, Pyrates Royale and the Corsairs are superb. (tho I would prefer them live.) Gypsy Guerilla Band (and though not mentioned - Jim Hancock) are also fantastic. Owen Phyfe, New World Renaissance Band & Cantiga are "ear candy" to coin a phrase.... |

Subject: RE: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: katlaughing Date: 01 Nov 00 - 02:37 PM Well, duh, I wasn't thinking!! They did announce it, then I didn't catch what he said, so I did a Google search and sure enough, it is a very simple www.renradio.com addy!!
Thanks, again, MMario, great site!!! kat |

Subject: RE: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: MMario Date: 01 Nov 00 - 01:53 PM it's not a commercial station; it's a private one. Many of the CD's played are ones that are not available in stores, in fact they are not available except from the groups themselves. |

Subject: RE: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: Night Owl Date: 01 Nov 00 - 01:42 PM been listening to this station for a couple hours now while working.....still NO commercials.just constant music...and no net congestion problems. I was able to access kat's link quickly here with RealPlayer8Plus. Being cyber challenged..I'm not sure what other info might help. |

Subject: RE: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: katlaughing Date: 01 Nov 00 - 01:30 PM This is really odd, because when I click on my link, my RealPlayer stops, then loads it just fine from the link. Have you all upgraded your RealPlayer when Max switched a couple of months ago for the radio show? I think it is version 7 now? |

Subject: RE: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: annamill Date: 01 Nov 00 - 01:28 PM How do you enter the ip address MM? I entered the numbers Kat gave us and it just laughs at me. L.A. |

Subject: RE: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: katlaughing Date: 01 Nov 00 - 01:27 PM Oh, that's odd because I copied and pasted it right from my RealPlayer. Hmmm, I'll go check it. |

Subject: RE: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: MMario Date: 01 Nov 00 - 01:12 PM I had to enter the ip address in my realaudio player to get it to work correctly, I wasn't able to use the clicky |

Subject: Do you recognise this great audio site? From: katlaughing Date: 01 Nov 00 - 11:20 AM I bookmarked a site on my RealAudio Player using just the number addy of it on the web, ages ago. I am pretty sure I got it form someone here, but have nothing but the numbers to search with and have not found it in the supersearch. Anyway, it seems to be non-stop, uninterrupted GOOD Celtic music all of the time and I was just wondering if any of you recognise it. I'd like to know the name of the site I got it from. It is at http://166.90.143.142:10904. Lots of pipes, drums, singing, fiddles, etc. It really is a great sounding site and I never have any problems with net congestion. Thansk for any assistance, kat |
