Just wanted to remind everyone that this coming Saturday (the 18th) is the annual Tellabration (in the U.S. anyway - not sure if it takes place all over the world). If you get in touch with your local storytelling organization, you will be able to get details on local performances. It's a sort of communal experience - storytellers all across the country telling stories on the same day. It's a chance for you to hear your local storytellers, telling everything from true personal stories to traditional folktales to composed fiction pieces. If you're REALLY lucky, you'll have a chance to see someone like Dan Keding, who combines the best of balladry & storytelling (two sides of the same coin, of course).
