Subject: RE: Happy! From: Abby Sale Date: 16 Nov 00 - 11:12 PM SINSULL: hard to tell - a sort of a rust color, mostly. Margo: Thank you - only about 230,000 (not that much for the age) - not much work, valves - alternator-type stuff - to my surprise original shocks & air conditioner. About 27 mpg - uses no oil. JenEllen: Yes, you get comfortable after a bit. Get the notion how small a space you can sneak through. I really like the old pile but I get a good chortle thinking I only paid $4,100 originally. I reckon that amortizes pretty well. :-) |
Subject: RE: Happy! From: JenEllen Date: 16 Nov 00 - 07:16 PM Thanks Abby!! I'm happy too. My '86 Subaru just rolled 180K. I held my own private celebration while driving home under the night sky. I got "RubySue" off the line, and she's been the best set of wheels I've ever gotten. Outside of maintaining her, the only part I've ever had to replace was an alternator--about 5 years ago. Congratulations to your wheels! And to all of the places you have been together, may there be many more to come. Flashers Blinking, Elle |

Subject: RE: Happy! From: Allan C. Date: 16 Nov 00 - 08:33 AM Sure, I'd love to ride in your car. I have always believed that once you find a car that seems to hold up well, take good care of it and run it until the wheels fall off! |
Subject: Happy! From: Abby Sale Date: 16 Nov 00 - 08:18 AM Happy Birthday, mine own car! That is, I purchased it on November 16th, 1977 And I'd be happy to:
