What about Cuachin Ghleann Neifin, which is in Irish but is certainly about lost love; it starts (in translation):

There is long grass and wilderness in a beautiful glen far from home

and goes on from there through all kinds of heartrending stuff about being blinded by tears as he searches the crossroads on the track of the little cuckoo of Glen Neifin. A very lonesome and plangent melody, too. Take a listen to Nora Ni Ghriallais's version of it.

No words to this one, but there's a Scottish Cape Breton jig called "I Lost My Love."

You might think on,

As I roved out P it stands for Paddy, I suppose Wounded Huzzar charming sweet girl that I love Siuil Aroon

But sure there are loads of them, but none are cast in Druidic scenery. How many do you actually want? Are you only looking for songs in the Irish?

I am in the process of writing a script centered around the Celtic Druid and Myth. What I need to find, at the moment, are songs about someone searching for a love lost. I had thought about the Clanned song, "I Will Find You" but since it uses Cherokee it renders it unusable for my purpose. If anyone can help with names and/or music I'd appreciate it.

Thank you,

Ray
