Subject: RE: BS: FUNDRAISING IDEA From: sian, west wales Date: 22 Nov 00 - 05:58 AM Ah, Watkins! I remember we had a "Watkins Man" call around door-to-door in rural Ontario when I was very young. Big suitcase full of boxes of spices. A real treasure trove. Far more interesting than the Fuller Brush Man. This is one of those showing-our-age things, right? sian |

Subject: RE: BS: FUNDRAISING IDEA From: Lyrical Lady Date: 21 Nov 00 - 12:45 AM Thanks for the link ... I think this is a really could idea so I'm posting again to put this near the top of the list. Max if you see this, let me know what you think. Does 'Mudcat' or could "Mudcat' have non-profit statis. If not, then come on everybody ... check out the Watkins web site and I'll donate 10% of the profits from your orders until Dec. 31. If all other Watkins reps do the same, this will be one FAT CAT! ....LL |

Subject: RE: BS: FUNDRAISING IDEA From: katlaughing Date: 20 Nov 00 - 05:22 PM LL, I think that sounds like a great idea. I don't know about the Mudcat as a whole, but I do know Max has some companies and their logo/links on the Support the Mudcat page and if we buy through that link the Mudcat gets a percentage. Thanks and good luck, kat |

Subject: RE: BS: FUNDRAISING IDEA From: Lyrical Lady Date: 20 Nov 00 - 01:11 PM Alex, Watkins has been around forever. It's an independent home-based sales company ... they offer wonderful products like spices, baking supplies, natural shampoos, salves, etc etc....check out the web site. Wish I could do a blue clicky but I can't. LL |

Subject: FUNDRAISING IDEA From: Lyrical Lady Date: 20 Nov 00 - 12:30 PM I'm an independent WATKINS associate. If any of you belong to a 'Non Profit Society' here's a great idea for raising funds! WATKINS inc has a FREE sign- up offer for non-profit societies. All the profits go directly to your society! WATKINS inc has a new on-line catalogue and it's so easy. If MUDCAT is/or could be, a non-profit society think of the money we could raise by buying the products we use everyday ON-LINE! Check out www.watkinsonline.com If you're not involved in a non-profit society but would like any of the products, my associate # is 320208. Are there any any other WATKINS reps out there? If Mudcat is cannot be a N-P society then perhaps the reps could donate a percentage of the profits generated by sales to our MUDCAT family. PM me if this sounds good to any of you. Just me thinking ou
