Subject: OBIT: Jason Robards - RIP From: Fiolar Date: 27 Dec 00 - 01:30 PM Sad to report the death of that great actor and twice Oscar winner Jason Robards. While not a singer in the accepted sense, his duet with Stella Stevens entitled "Butterfly Morning and Wild Flower Afternoons" in the western "The Ballad of Cable Hogue" will always be one of the great bitter-sweet songs in my estimation. I understand he had been suffering from cancer for some time and it is one of life's ironies that his last role was a man dying of cancer in "Magnolia." |
