I just went to their web site. Looks more blues than folk, though last year they did have Harlem Choral Group. They also had the bass player from The deads playing in a group called Ratdog. I don't know. Looks and sounds pretty good. 3 days of music. The site hasn't posted this years date yet, but if you hunt in the letters, you see references to Red Hook, New York as the next site.

Just enter Gathering of the Vibes into your search engine.

There are banjos, mandolins, etc. I might give it a try.

My son, James, the hip-hop lover, called me yesterday and asked me if I was familiar with this gathering in Red Hook in June or July. He said they have old blues, folk and...well..just the type of music me and my hippie friends (his words, not mine) seem to like.

Is anyone familiar with this gathering? Sounds interesting.
