I just recalled, the English exchange student had an American wife. She confessed she'd been married to him for six months before she understood the Title/Chorus line. She thought he was singing "Arse and Rape and Bloody Murder"!!!!

Am _I_ embarrassed! I totally goofed on the chorus. I got confused with the chorus of "Gory, Gory, What a Hell of a Way to Die". The REAL chorus of "Arson, Rape, and Bloody Murder" is (not surprisingly):

Just reading a current "What Shall We Do With The Drunken Sailor" thread, I remembered this golden oldie, sung to The Battle Hymn of the Republic a/k/a John Brown's Body.

This is a "zipper song", into which you can put all sorts of poetic-justice revenges against "capitalist exploiters", to be carried out "When the Red Revolution Comes". The ones I remember below are dated, I suppose, but they illustrate the principle. Endless possibilities
