Subject: The King of Lemonade From: Amos Date: 23 Feb 01 - 12:13 AM Some folks get real depressed when they get a cold. Others just get terribly frustrated when they miss a raise. But consider this gentleman, a Vietnam veteran who stands out in high degree: Bill Wedekind makes beautiful pottery. Well, it may be beautiful he really doesn't know, because he can't see it. Not only is this pottery maker blind; perhaps more importantly, he has no hands. After losing both his sight and his hands serving his nation in Vietnam, Wedekind had to decide "whether to crawl off in a corner and feel sorry for myself and die, or get up and make the best out of what you've got Left." |
