Subject: RE: Halifax NS Event - Maritime Museum From: George Seto - af221@chebucto.ns.ca Date: 01 Mar 01 - 08:26 PM It should. One of my favourite ways to spend Friday night is to go to the ship Acadia. One of the employees of the Maritime Museum lives on board. (The ship Acadia is the largest exhibit of the Museum) Friday nights he hosts a song circle that night. |

Subject: RE: Halifax NS Event - Maritime Museum From: MARINER Date: 01 Mar 01 - 07:27 PM George, You've just given me a great idea.I help run a small maritime museum which is on an old Lightvessel,we're always in need of money and an evening of sea songs on board might be a way to raise a few pounds. |

Subject: RE: Halifax NS Event - Maritime Museum From: George Seto - af221@chebucto.ns.ca Date: 01 Mar 01 - 04:49 PM No, I won't be needing coffee. Thanks though. It's not something I drink. I forgot to mention, there IS an admission, not just a donation to the food bank, which I would make anyway. |

Subject: Halifax NS Event - Maritime Museum From: George Seto - af221@chebucto.ns.ca Date: 01 Mar 01 - 10:55 AM Clary Croft will be at the Maritime Museum on Sunday March 4th. The topic is Folklore in Song. He'll be there from 2PM until 3:30PM. It's usually quite interesting and he will sing some of these old songs. Later in the month, March 25th, songwriter, Dan McKinnon, will do a talk, on a slightly different talk. More on that later. |
