New DFW area session

I believe they don't go much later then 10, or so. The place normally closes at 10, but the manager said they stay open for the session, as long as people want to stay. I haven't made it yet. It's a nice place, Mimosa - I suspect you'd enjoy it. I hope to make it one of these Tuesdays.

When I can. I had planned to be there last week for the first time in a while, but the weather didn't cooperate.

Yes Nathan; I'd heard of that Sat AM session in Denton. I'd hoped to make it, a time or two. Do you go?

Another one nearby is in Denton, on the courthouse square, Saturday mornings from 10:00 until noon or later. When the weather is nice there are usually enough folks to have several jams going at once- generally one group doing old "cry-in-your-beer" country, another doing more old-time instrumentals, etc.. There's also a jam in the little town of Ponder, north of Ft.Worth, on the first Sunday of each month at the Ranchman's Cafe. (You can't miss it, it's the only thing open in Ponder on Sunday afternoon. Usually bluegrass flavored, but open to whatever.

There is a new (primarily Celtic) session started in the Dallas area. It is at a coffee/deli shop north of Dallas, just off of I35 in Flower Mound Texas. Info:

nice place, nice folks, great sandwiches, coffee, teas, etc. Also have beer and wine. I have not attened the session yet, but very much like the people running the place. I hope y'all check it out, and return to this thread to let us all know how it goes!
