Emma, A hobby of mine is to read about things, ie tv or radio programmes, concerts things like that, you know things you really want to see or like go to, only to find you've missed it !!

On Sat me & the wife, or is it the wife and me? went down to the New Tyne, had a pint and something to eat and listened to the juke box. damn it was just a kick in the arse away. Oddly enough, I intended to go and watch Geo Welch on the Sunday night at the Cumberland, needless to say I did n't get.

I think,though we would have enjoyed the session on the Sat.

mmmm...Rappers...dancin'..get down..yoh...cool. I remember when it just used to be diddly, diddly @ the Cumberland.

I live in South Shields, which is near Newcastle, and has a remarkable folk community for an average-sized town. Can't make it to Newcastle though - I'm doing 'coursework'. Ruthie

Can't make it tonight, I'm at the Jolly Angler bash in Manchester. I'd like to hear of any sessions / singarounds in Newcastle on Tyne, I'm up there for a weekend in mid September(I do the Great North Run every year), so a sing / play would be good. John

Used to study in Newcastle and went to a few sessions - can't remember the places - one of them got knocked down and the session moved to near Byker.

If there's ne1 from newky there is a session @ the cumberland arms on saturday, and like a fete with rapper dancing n stuff in the afternoon, If any1 fancies going i'll be there, pm me or add to this thread.
