Hi, Voyager - I e-mailed a MIDI to you at the e-mail address listed on your Mudcat registration (and later to the address above). Hope that works.
Operating Alan's MIDITEXT isn't a difficult process, but you do have to read the directions carefully and it helps to know a little bit of DOS. I have it set up so I can do MIDITEXT conversions in about ten seconds. I'm a "tech guy," and I have to admit I delayed about 4 months before I got around to learning how to use MIDITEXT. I suppose a lot of people have the same problem with the DOS version of the Digital Tradition. Both programs run very well in Windows 95/98/ME, but you have to do a little thinking to set them up to work well. I don't think they will run in NT, unless you have the ability to run a DOS window in NT.

Hi Voyager,

Did you see this?:

If you wish to convert the MIDI information posted by another Mudcat user use the mouse to select the small red text and press Ctrl-C (copy). Open Notepad and paste. Save this file with a .txt extension. Then drag it across to the "Text to MIDI" icon. You now have a reconstituted MIDI file. The name of this file is the file specified in the first line of the text you copied and pasted.

Did you download the software? Sorry if you did. I couldn't make that out from your post.

Good luck!

~ Jande

I tried following 'blue click thing' links to retrieve MIDITEXT.exe result = NO GOOD!
