It might be a bit of a drive, but there is a nice Folk College this May in Clarion PA.

There a alot of folks there who play that type of music and you might meet some who are closer to the Ohio areas.

Being as close as you are to Ann Arbor, I'd make a day trip up there and stop in Herb ______?(I'm blanking--it's the guitar store just off campus on Liberty) and School Kids Records. There is a huge acoustic mafia scene in Ann Arbor and I know of two groups who have regular jams there.

Check out your local music store...they are generally started for a good reason! Or at least, it's why Lark in the Morning was started. Someone will know of a session.

Robert, sorry, we are in North Central PA, but we do have a Mudcatter Gathering coming up at the end of April and you are welcome to come.

I'd like to suggest you join Mudcat, so you can have what we call a Personal Page here. (See FAQ Thread.) It isn't like a web homepage, but more like a mailbox and bookmark page within Mudcat. Members use these to send each other messages to make arrangements to meet up. So if you join, people will be able to contact you more easily, and this makes it unnecessary to divulge your e-mail. (Some of us worry about e-mail privacy.)

I live in the Toledo, OH area. Does anyone have any ideas on finding people to play with? I'm especially interested in Celtic and Nordic folk music.
