Frank, good to knwo about your room, too. Mark, I agree, wish the Sunday ones were still regular; there was a nice concert this past Sunday by some of the "Chuck's" offspring and friends, SImple Pleasures, great group.

Alison, I will watch for yours. I think I keep missing it...off times.

Thanks, alison, that was a good suggestion to add people's names to my so-far-empty list. Sure wish we had the regular Sunday Mudcat room back.

Frank, that's a good time for me...I'll check it out. Do you know any of the Portland folkies? I lived there in the early 80s and still keep in touch.

Fortunately, the new PalTalk popups are merely annoying rather than lethal to my computer. Wish I'd kept my cursor off the button...the old version was working just fine. Now they won't even let you join unless you fill out a marketing questionnaire. TANSTAAFL.

Paltalk's new version totally screwed up my computer. It kept sending me pop-up messages via MSN (????) which AOL rejected. Then everything would freeze. Reluctantly and with great difficulty I deleted Paltalk. I will miss the concerts. If I can figure out how to get the old version up and running, I will be back.

Hi Mark...I have a room which I open everyday at 2:30pm pacific time (I'm in Oregon). It's called the Toledo Folk Music Group and my pal talk name is Toledo_3. Everyone is welcome.....I created it as a no karaoke and no recorded music, so it's basically live; but it's hard sometimes as I have no lock on the room. no we're still there from time to time... but there isn't necessarily a mudcat room open.... usually toward the top of the list you'll find a "live" guitar room (many different names).... if you pop in you'll find familiar mudcat faces.....

best time still seems to be late evening EST, (tomorrow lunchtime for me *grin*)... although I was on early morning EST, (afternoon UK, bedtime for me) yesterday and picked up a few stragglers...... *grin*

add a few of us to your contact list and then at least you'll be able to see if anyone is there... I'm jiggie_1 my room is "Celtic Friends".....

I know I'm in an oddball time zone (6 hours earlier than US East Coast, 10 hours earlier than GMT, and a different day entirely from the Downunder contingent), but I haven't been able to find any Mudcat song circles on PalTalk in quite a while. Where (when) are you folks? Or has the new annoying version of PalTalk driven everybody away?
