Weedon, that is. 81 today. If Lonnie Donegan was responsible for UK teenagers in the 1950s and 1960s buying guitars it was Bert Weedon's books that taught them their three chords.
He had some minor chart success under his own name, like Guitar Boogie Shuffle but also played the licks on hundreds of other people's records.
Oh, and some guy called Donovan is 55 today.
