And finally, what I think you really want to know—it's in the length of the "twangers"
How to build one just keep scrolling down until you get to the length for the key of G part.

Hell if I know, but I'll go look. I suspect they are "keyed" so that no two are the same........interesting question.

HeyaJody, here is a page which has an interesting story about the Kalimba, and, if you scroll down a bit, you will see a diagram of a tuning in F major. Just CLICK HERE. Maybe that will get you started. I'll go look for some more info.
