Rommell, et al take Tobruk on June 21, 1942.

 
  Tommy thinks he holds Tobruk.
     Along the road comes Rommel.
Inside two shakes Tobruk is took
     And Tommy's on the brummel.

He's on the brummel to the Rhine
     Where sylphs will drive him barmy.
I think old Timoshenko's fine.
     Thank God for the Red Army.

When you think about it, a very large number of people - civilians, soldiers and concentration camp victims - were very happy that the Red Army existed and was on the move...
