Hi all

How politcally correct. In fact, if youlike that kind of thing, I think theres a politically correct version of Little Red Riding hood on the net... about parodies, the only ones I know are dutch, or I think Simon and Garfunkel one goes While shepherds washed their sox by night, all seated round the tub a bar of sunlight soap came down, and they began to scrub.

or While shepherds watched their flocks by night, all watching ITV (a british channal) the angel of the lord came down and switched to BBC

And then there's another one about Vechum's pills (or something like this, I' don't really remember) which I liked as a small kid

Well it's Christmas morning here and I've been thinking about Arlo Guthrie's song which starts:

Santa Claus wears a red suit, Must be a communist. Has a beard and long hair, Must be a pacifist (or anarchist??)

What's in the pipe that he's smoking?

Does anyone know the rest? Or any other social commentary or parodies of Christmas songs. I think I need an antidote for the day's celebrations.

Someone sent me this via the harp mailing list, so I'll wish you all a PC (politically correct) season's greetings, and just think of me playing lots of music with my family this afternoon - Celtic harp, flutes, guitar, etc
