Just about any hornpipe played in the old style (bouncy and not too fast) makes a fine Schottische. Or there's always Mairzy Doats.

Hi - try Richard Robinson's Tune Book, and you can follow the link from there to The ABC Home Page for links to other libraries. Richard Robinson should have more than you'd ever want. I'm still amazed at how they can get so much music out of such a little ABC file.

Every once in a while, we get a request for a schottishe for people to dance to. I can probably dig through my Scottish tunebooks and find one or two, but most people we play for would not know the tunes. So, does anyone play or know of some popular schottishe tunes by name or a web site which might have some in either abc or gif?
