Subject: RE: Cara Dillon From: GUEST Date: 15 Jan 05 - 02:52 PM I can pay her no higher compliment than to say that as singers go, she is a very attractive woman. |
Subject: RE: Cara Dillon From: Hand-Pulled Boy Date: 15 Jan 05 - 02:16 PM I have her first album and she's very good looking. |
Subject: RE: Cara Dillon From: GUEST,Gizmo Date: 15 Jan 05 - 02:10 PM Cara Dillon's albums are amazing and definately worth gettin hold of, i like both her albums but i think most of my favs are on the debut album can't wait for more new stuff, i saw her in concert in Dartford and she was brill i think her set was about an hour or more there. |
Subject: RE: Cara Dillon From: GeorgeH Date: 26 Jul 01 - 08:34 AM Yup, I'd say that was short . . (I was wondering whether you meant it felt like it went on for ever . . I guess you've been at gigs like that!) G. |
Subject: RE: Cara Dillon From: GS Date: 26 Jul 01 - 07:40 AM Meant her set was slightly on the short side but maybe thats unfair it didnt seem to last too much more than half an hour or so though. |
Subject: RE: Cara Dillon From: GeorgeH Date: 26 Jul 01 - 07:19 AM Do you mean the set was too long, or too short? (sorry, but it's not at all clear from your message). Cara and the Oysters seems an odd comparison . . (Wind up an Oyster - request "The invasion of the French Boyfriends" from them . . .) Cheers! G. |
Subject: Cara Dillon From: GS Date: 26 Jul 01 - 05:58 AM Has anyone bought the debut album by Cara Dillon yet, any opinions? I saw her live last nite and whilst she was definately good I felt a little disapointed by the length of her set (or maybe im just spoiled by bands like the Oysters). Is the album worth spending a few pennies on? http://www.members.aol.com/folkandroots/index.html |

Subject: RE: BS: Cara Dillon From: GUEST Date: 18 Jun 01 - 05:49 PM I'm with you Philippa on Oige versus the Oysterband. As I think many people agree, it was a sad day when the Equation formed splitting up both Oige and the Kate Rusby and Katherine Roberts duo. I saw Oige after Cara Dillon left with I think Maranna Macluskey, but I haven't heard from them recently. Ian |

Subject: RE: BS: Cara Dillon From: GUEST,Philippa Date: 18 Jun 01 - 03:10 PM Interesting to hear what Cara's up to now, though I much prefer Oige to the Oysterband. Cara and other members of Oige hailed from Dungiven, Co Derry, Ireland, not far from where I live. |
Subject: Cara Dillon From: GUEST,folkie Date: 17 Jun 01 - 07:21 PM Has anyone else caught this young singer on the latest Oyster Band tour? (she was a member of Equation until recently) If not youve missed out and I for one am looking forward to her debut album in early July. Have a pleasant nite all :-) http://www.members.aol.com/folkandroots/index.html |
