Far be it from me to disagree with you ;-) (Although i shall almost certainly make the effort for Russell too). Bill Jones has improved significantly (songwriting and singing)(imho) in the last year or so and the band should be a good nite out.

Although if you were thinking of making that journey for Russell he is playing a few weeks (1st Nov) later in a much larger venue supporting Nanci Griffiths (who?)

Tom Russell on October 3rd at the "Borderline" is what's important. I may come across the pond for that. No lie.

Folk and roots

Worth pointing out that Bill Jones and her yet to be assembled band are playing at the Borderline in Soho which should be an evening worth making the trip for.
