Hi the latest is that I have not cashed the checks as we have not gotten enough advance sales to burn the CDs, so I am sending back the checks with a CDr of the sessions with my thanks. I am currently restructuring the band as well, and meeting with a fellow tommorow (wends) about promoting a CD with the new folks. long story... and thanks again, Larry
CD should be in the mail in a few days.

We are getting more and more pre-orders, so I am fairly sure we will meet our goal and get the CDs in the mail in about 4 weeks. I greatly apreciate the support of all of you and am sure you will be happy with the new material. You are mudangels!
Cheers Larry

Nice of you to ask. I have been waiting for a friend who was to get a native flute player to add some background music. I am about to give up on her, I have put the word out among native friends that I am looking for a flute player. Ralph, the popular halfwit, is also coming at the end of Oct to finish his CD with us. All the best, Larry.

HeyaLarry, how are you coming on that CD by the Native American who passed away right after recording? I'd love to get a CD of that whenever it is ready, too.

Thanks,

kat

A brief update, a local sound engineer who was to do the final mastering talked me into re-recording some bits and pieces, but we believe we will be able to mail out the finished product in about 4 weeks, as long as there is enough pre-sales that I can afford to push us over the top... so I wont cash any checks until we are ready to burn the first thousand CDs, it looks like we should not have a problem getting the initial 1,000 paid for though, as we are getting a number of angles promicing to help get us there. For those who have heard some of the early recordings, I think you will be very pleased with how we sound with the benifit of a studio.
Thanks from the band and I
All the best
Larry

Hi Friends and fans!

Sorcha Dorcha's first real done in a studio CD is in the process of final mastering. We need to raise a couple of thousand semolians to mass produce... SO, if you would like to pre - order, CDs, so we can get the CDs burned ... drop me an email at InOBU@aol.com and I will send you details for preorders. What is on the album...

Remember They're With Us: A new song I wrote, about the Engine 33 Ladder 9, our local firehouse who lost a quarter of their company.

Yvette's Song: A song I wrote about my friend Yvette Michele and her peoples fight against forced assimilation, as native people in Canada. This is followed by the Wise Maid and Coolies reels.

Dick Turpin: A song contemporary to this great highwayman who specialized in robbing lawyers and judges. Followed by Blarney Pilgrim

Centuries of Pain: The Ballad of Amadou Diallo, a song I wrote about racial blindness

Riddle of the Rum: The first time this song from 1798 was recorded, from the singing of Daithi Sproole

The New Saint: A song I wrote about a conversation I had with a Monsignor about the canonization of a Rom (Gypsy).

Newry Highwayman: A great song about the Irish highwayman Valentine O'Hara, followed by Lietrim Fancy and An Phis Fluich

Tom of Bedlam: First written down in 1610, but much older, a song of madness and wonder...

Morrisons and Out on the Ocean

Election Day: Another new song, one I wrote about what I saw on September 11.

All the very best,

Lor
