These days of course the Mail from Bristol is held up by the legal larcenry of the Severn Bridge Toll.

The song is by Keith Marsden and is in Picking Sooty Blackberries under the title Crack Your Whip.

Interestingly, Johnny has an extra (last) verse not given there.
