2nd October, 1998, America's singing cowboy Gene Autry died aged 91. During his career he scored 25 successive country top 10 hits.

3rd October, 1967, singer songwriter Woody Guthrie died, after suffering from Huntingdon's chorea disease.

3rd October, 1969, bluesman Skip James died of Cancer aged 67.

But seriously-- whassup with THIS? Anyone try it?
