There's a rhyme (not a song) I heard many moons ago, and it annoys me that it's garbled in my memory. What I have is this:
Shawney MacLean was a Hielandman,
And he came frae Tobermory,
And he wore a kilt o' the clan MacLean
That nae mair than covered his glory.
..........................
So he painted the bird
Till it couldna be telt frae the tartan.
Any comments?
