She used to spend time at our house when she was touring in this area and gave my son hours of pleasure by making origami figure for him. |

Subject: This one will stump you: 'Words' From: Pete Jennings Date: 17 Nov 01 - 06:39 PM Okay guys, this one is really hard. One of the first folk clubs I ever visited was held at The Royal Oak pub in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, in England circa 1970. I distinctly remember a lady singer/guitarist playing one of her own songs. The chorus went something like: "Words like I love you and I'm thinking of you and Words I could never dah dah dah..." Someone other than me must rememeber it. Who was she, where is she now and what are the full lyrics. Told you it was a tough one...I'm off to play some Bert Jansch or maybe something traditional while you get your thinking caps on. PS. I'm new to Mudcat, which is a great site. My chosen name comes from a line in song written by a mate of mine many years ago..."The man with the quiet fingers is playing softly again". I always did play quietly... |
