The 'Werewolf' that Barry Dransfield recorded was a Michael Hurley composition. It was the first track on Hurley's classic 'Armchair Boogie' on Jesse Colin Young's long-gone Racoon label, now an extremely expensive collector's item. A recording by Hurley is available on CD though: Michael Hurley 'Wolf Ways' Koch KOC 3-7910-2. I doubt that this or Zevon's song is what is sought here.

Would this be the same Werewolf by the Dransfields. If so there's a post from Allie way back (maybe 3 yrs or so) with the words of their Werewolf in it (click here). Barry

The Five Man Electrical Band, discography indicates the the song is called "Werewolf".

It's by the Five Man Electrical Band, from my hometown Ottawa.

Is it any wonder we hate to see the sun go down?

Can't remember the title, the lyricist is probably Les Emmerson. It was a followup to their big hit "Signs".

I remember a song from the late 60's/early 70's about a werewolf. All I can come up with is partial lyrics: "There's something wrong about(with? Billy", "took the silver bell and melted it down to a single shot". Does anyone know the title/artist?
