Subject: RE: BS: We're no Barenaked Ladies... From: UB Ed Date: 21 Nov 01 - 12:48 PM Thanks Marymac. I'm all ears. By the way, I now have a hard copy of the suggestions from the earlier venue threads. Hopefully travel and entertainment schedules can converge! Ed |

Subject: RE: BS: We're no Barenaked Ladies... From: Marymac90 Date: 21 Nov 01 - 12:37 PM Pseudolus and UB Ed, if you spend time in Wilmington, you are not that far from MUDCATVILLE, aka, West Chester PA. That's the home of Max and all the computers that bring Mudcat to us. (They now live in Max's dining room, as I understand it.) At some time soon, I hope to coax Max out of hibernation long enough to resume the Mudcat Radio shows. If so, we'd love to have you as guests on the show. The usual time was Tuesdays at 7 pm, but I don't know when Max will feel ready to get it started again. Be in touch with Max or myself for more info, as it's revealed from the horse's mouth! Subject: RE: BS: We're no Barenaked Ladies... From: UB Ed Date: 21 Nov 01 - 12:23 PM You know, I've poked my head into O'Friel's on a weeknight (my travels frequently find me overnighting in Wilmington). Looks like a nice place, but real quiet on the weeknights. Best of luck to ya, Pseud. I'll make it a point to hoist a couple pints (Kim - both paper and real)! Who else? Ed |

Subject: RE: BS: We're no Barenaked Ladies... From: Kim C Date: 21 Nov 01 - 10:32 AM I'd rather buy a REAL pint! We'll be entertaining school groups at Carnton Plantation in conjunction with the 137th anniversary of the Battle of Franklin. Otherwise I'd come and buy that pint. Or two. |

Subject: We're no Barenaked Ladies... From: UB Ed Date: 21 Nov 01 - 08:00 AM ...but we are playing at a pub Friday, November 30th in conjunction with the Great Guinness Toast. Any other 'Catters performing that night? Apaprently the Barenaked Ladies are (is?) doing a pay-for view show as well. Despite all that, I thought this was worth passing on: From the Guinness Website: "As a leukemia survivor, Barenaked Ladies band member Kevin Hearn knows how important it is to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. That's why the band has joined forces with Guinness to help raise awareness – and dollars – to fight these life-threatening diseases. Here's how you can help: 1) Order The Great Guinness Toast Barenaked Ladies PPV event premiering November 30 and $1 from your order will be contributed to the Leukemia Society. 2) Visit your local Guinness Retailer to learn more about our Guinness Rebate Contribution Program (where allowed by law). 3) Purchase a $1 "paper pint" of Guinness at your local bar or pub between November 1 and November 30, 2001. On November 30th, Guinness will match these contributions up to $100,000." So who's out and about that night? Ed |
