53, at a guess there are at least several thousand 'Dan Kirby's in our great country.

There are much better ways of trying to get in touch with someone than hoping that the 1000 or so regular mudcat readers have heard of him.

the nickels arrived yesterday and i thank you very much,dan played the guitar and i haven't a clue where or which state he moved to, he would now be between 48 and 54 and i thought that someone on the cat might have ran into him thru the years, time surely does get by. BOB

Bob, what did Dan do/play? Where? With who? (guitar, vocal, etc.) Approx. age? Maybe a clue to the state he moved to? or moved from? Any clues at all? (did you nickels arrive yet?)

dan kirby was a good picker friend of mine in the mid 70's and i believe that he moved up north somewhere, i was just wondering if any body in the mudcat community might know him or have heard of him? your help would be appreciated. bob
