Ken made some critical remarks about pop/folk "stars" he felt tend to ignore those that helped them by playing their music when they were just getting started. Named a few, which I choose not to do here. His comments brought the wrath of several of his fellow DJs down upon him, as they strongly disagreed with his comments.

How come his fellow DJ's have been bashing him?

Tomorrow will be my last show. I won't say forever, because forever's a long time.

Considering I do this for my love of the music, and considering the fact that the last year has been nothing but frustration that detracts from that love, I've had enough. I've had enough of battling with record companies to send me their product so that I can give them free advertising. I'm tired of equipment that doesn't work. I'm tired of the fact that nobody's listening. I'm tired of promoting artists who don't even bother to contact me when they are playing 5 miles away. And I'm tired of getting bashed by the one group of individuals who should understand what a difficult and thankless job this is...my fellow DJ's.

I've been doing this for 30 years on and off, and continuously for the last nine, and this is the first time I have ever felt that doing a folk show was a completely meaningless exercise. To those of you with more stamina or stomach than I have, congratulations and good luck in your work.

Fondly,

Ken Nagelberg
