Ahhhgggghhhh !!!! I can't help myself.... it's been two days I have resisted posting...

Christmas Folk in Hull... say that five times fast. I agree and can't wait til it's over. Maybe if I had kids of my own I'd be more keen, but I just can't get in the spirit of it this year.

Ah, that feels better.

Hull Catters, are you hibernating for Christmas or has the snow frozen your fingers?

Green Ginger Morris are generally about in the area on Boxing Day, and usually include some singing/music.

Their site should be helpful at http://green-ginger-morris.co.uk

Must learn the clickie thing - New Year's Resolution maybe? Hope this helps.

There used to be a big folk scene when I lived there, and the posts here suggest it is still going on, let's hope one or more of the Hull catters will give more info.

We are travelling to Hull for the end of the Christmas week to visit Mum. Is there any folk event we should not miss? Singing, Mumming or Dancing? John suggests we might get a sing at the Kingston in Cumberland Street Friday night. Do you know of any other? Best Regards Alison & Steve Shellbacks
