Yes indeed ET! His "10 years" retrospective even featured Lal Waterson with Eliza Carthy, Martin Carthy, Richard Thompson and Danny Thompson, and also a marvellous Portuguese fado singer whose name I can't remember. Good idea!

Does anyone know how to contact him. I know I am obsessed but couldn't he help with the campaign against live music and the dreadful PEL rules in the Licensing Act? Kim Howells is said to be fond of Jazz but hates folk?

Oh Boy! I met Jools Holland MANY years ago when he was playing with Squeeze, and I was a piano student in college. He was very gracious and friendly talking to me about piano things. I have never forgot that.

No he doesn't sing, he has guest singers on the tracks....

I love it! I'm listening to it right now at work!

There's only one track I'm not that fond of, the rest of them are a really good mix. They are mostly really good.

Infact, I'm grooving in my swivel chair and twisting away when no one's looking.

I particularly like, Micia Paris I put a spell on you, and Sam Brown. Oh, and Mark Knopfler one is good too. And the Taj Mahal one too.

I'd recommend it, Tescos are selling it for 11.99 at the mo.

Go for it when you can, it's fun! Some really saucy sounding music going on and hot piano playing from Jools.

I have it and think it's great. Predictably enough it's full of off-the-wall collaborations, with people like Suggs and Sam Brown, as well as a lot of people I'm not too familiar with. My impression is it's very much a good-time record...

I naturally respect your opinion JohnL but I've actually enjoyed his accompaniment of many of his guests and genuinely thought it did add to the performance as I regard him as a very instinctive and and sympathetic accompanist.

He's good with his own band but if only he'd stop contributing to other guest's performances on his BBC2 show. It annoys the hell out of me and detracts from their music without adding anything.

Jools Holland is a regular at the Dacre Arms near Lewisham with his dog and family. Not only very talented but a nice guy as well.

Jools Holland (the Blues Pianist), has anyone heard his new CD (Jools Holland & Friends), I am a bit skint rihjt now but I am going toi buy it when I get some money.
