Double tt? Oh, on Atila? I can't spell either, so I guess that is the only place I see two tt's, I will check the CD cover later! Cheers, Larry Otway... PS My old dad used to always call me Lor, short for Lorcan, so when I was in my late twenties and a paralegal, my boss had to teach me to put two rr s in Larry! Cheers again, Lor, eh... Lary, eh... Larry

Many thanks for that, won't be able to make the 27th (I'm in Essex), but I would encourage any mudcatter within travelling distance to go along, should be a good night.

PS Sorry for the double t, spelling was never my strong point

Chris

This was in another post, and we Otways have to stick together... who else will have us? So to give it its proper do. first the quote

Chris Amos FYI John Otway plays the Schooner, Southwick, Sussex with Attila the Stockbroker on February 27th £5 (Tel 01273 592252)

I was telling John, via email, that my bandmates and I were driving back to New York City from a gig in North Carolina, after 16 hours on the road, the smell of Elizabeth New Jersey (rotten eggs and vomit from the oil refineries) in our nostrils, it was time, Leah, our guitarest, like the Captain from Das Boot says, " Larry, put it on, you know the one..." And we drifted through the night 4AM, with Chyril playing on the CD player... Apropriate, after a disagreement with the promoter of the concert, where Leah says over her shoulder, "Why don't you drop something heavy on my head, to ease this pain in my heart..." Pure magic.
Lorcan Otway, of the band Sorcha Dorcha...
Playing at Paddy Rielly's March 19th 10 PM New York, email InOBU@aol.com
