In one of the recent threads, I think it was the cowboy/western flicks one, several people mentioned a great book called The Cowboy and the Cossack. I found a copy at the local used book store, just started it and wanted to 1) say THANK YOU!! for recommending it; and, 2)would like ot know if any of you have ever heard of it being in audiobook format? I looked at the most obvious big books on tapes sites and couldn't find it.

This book comes the closest, for a contemporary piece fo fiction, to how my dad and his dad would relate a story as I've ever seen. It got passages where I've almost picked up the phone and said, "Dad, listen to this! This could be you saying this!" The author, Clair Huffaker, really got the whole cadence, vernacular, etc, thing down pat. I'd liek to get it on tape for my dad because he just isn't able to read much anymore, but I think he woudl really enjoy listening to it.
