We used to play this one...but didn't they change rhe name to "Oatlands Celtic Festival" at some point? Did they change it back?

In any case, it's a *wonderful* festival, and hosts many local and national folk musicians of the highest caliber. Very worth the trip there, if you can make it.

Anyone going???

Yes, and it's well worth the visit. I was playing with one of the lesser known local bands and so I didn't have to pay, but even at $15 it's worth it. Morven Park is located just to the north of Leesburg, VA and is probably 1 1/2 hours from Washington DC. The quickest way is probably Route 66 out of DC to Dulles and then take the Greenway Pkwy north to Leesburg. Then take the eastern swing of the Leesburg Bypass around to within a 100 yards of it's rejoining Route 15 (Business) North, then take a left into the Park. It should be well marked.

Morven Park itself is a world class horse hospital, built to deal with sports injuries to horses. It also provides top notch training to the Olympic Equestrian teams, especially in 3 day eventing.

The festival also has plenty of room for jams of every sor,t though some are actual performers in a small venues throughout the Park. There are excellent restaurants in downtown Leesburg, within a mile of the Park, though my favorite is (of all things) a Greek fast food place called Knossos, out on Route 7 (Business) near the McDonalds.

For what it's worth, I highly recommend it.

Two bands, Teada (Irish) and Tornaod (Breton) will be headliners performing at the festival this year. Anyone know anything about them?

Having never been to this festival, am wondering how good a festival it is (in addition to the music, which looks very good) in terms of amenities, conveniences, and cost.
